Christianne Debattis I had two of this model, and both had the same problem; whilst typing a message or dialing a number the phone just switches off. One was only 6 months old and the other new replacement lasted me one year. I am extremely disappointed since i have always had an alcatel mobile phone starting from the One Touch Easy to the One TouchClub db which were very good phones but then the 511's were a big let down because it is a very nice phone however it just won't work - waste of money.

Dan Wright Avoid this phone like the plague, I have got through three of these phones. The scroll button breaks and the OS is very slow at times, features are great though.

Maria Don't, i repeat DON'T even think of buying the alcatel 511!!! This is the worst mobile phone I ever had the misfortune of buying!! I already changed it 3 times as it just switches off by itself, and they don't want to give me a different model. So apart from this being a bad phone, alcatel also offer bad service!
alr this phone sucks.. too little, too many bugs, too weak construction. but i love the backlight ;)
DEUCATRYON i have to say that this phone is a very good one! i ve mine since 2 years and i never have had any probs with the ok button or with the os...so the only prob could be it s small size because i forget it very often ;-)
