Arsalan I had to configure the i-mate as a modem for a colleague of mine through the USB port and the Laptop just did not detect the USB as a modem. Do I need a ROM upgrade ? Has anybody configured JAMin as external modem ?

amit i like the feel of imate but not sure which one i should purchase between Jamin or K-Jam. My requirement is solid reliability and performance of device both as a phone and pda e.g. ability to take/make calls while an application is running without o/s freezing etc.
