i-mate K-JAM Review
mat I had one for 3 days and took it back they replaced it but the new one was the same, the most annoying piece of rubbish i have ever had the misfortune to own. It constantly needed resetting, never woke up when i was called. didn't inform me of incoming texts. In the end i spent more time waiting for it to boot up than using it. Needless to say I have sent it back.
daryl well i am fed up with this device. my screen freezes, my battery is flat when i turn it on and i haven't even used it, and i cant ring out, can anyone help with any of the above? the reason i got this phone was for email, pda, and had wifi etc on
Andrew Don't buy one! What more can I say. Having purchased a Qtec 9100 when they first came out, mine has spent more time being repaired than being used. I purchased a I-Mate K-Jam as a direct replacement(again made by HTC) and guess what, this has also spent more of its life being repaired than used. I still currently waiting for both units to be repaired!!! 6 weeks and counting....
i-mate boyfriend yes you can download real player if you got the right version ... plus you can record call and sounds with microphone features plus many software support i-mate devices.
for freezing screen ... no problem you can upgrade to new version or re-indtall the same version and buy more storage for application.
Adam I have to agree with Andrew, don't buy the K-Jam, full stop. Those that aren't faulty are riddled with problems. The processor is too slow which means many of the applications either don't work or work so slowly it drives you crazy. Chris makes a living out of selling the K-Jam so of course he's going to talk it up. Just read through all the comments from previous owners who say how useless the K-Jam is - they aren't all suffereing from user error - work it out - the K-Jam has serious problems and until HTC and I-Mate work them out best to save yourself the hassle and buy something different.
PjLala Hi, bought my K-Jam two months back, I must say thats it's a good device, although I must agree with some comments that the device can be slow (not very slow) sometimes due to it's slow processor and not enough RAM/ROM. It could have been improved alot.compared to price and device specs I would give it 6.8.

there is no extra software needed. It is a setting in the phone. turn on the camera and change the setting with the little arrows to photo. click on the settings button and go to capture size. here you have the different settings. Pick scaled 1600*1280 for 2mp setting then start camera. Once this is selected you will see the 2mp setting in the bottom left displayed instead of the 1mp setting. Enjoy.

MAC I have had my i-Mate K-Jam for about two weeks now. All I can say is WOW!!!! After a few sticky moments because of my stupidity, I realised that this little device is one power house. Sure, it could be a bit faster, but it handles most things with aplomb. I have a 1Gb mini-SD and I love the way it handles music, movies, games etc. As a phone it is superb. After having read MANY MANY reviews, I decided to go with it. I have not been sorry thus far. I highly recommend this device. There is a ton of software available for this device. On the down side, I do not like the MMS interfcae and I do not like the way it handles ring tones, alarms etc, but I will get over it. 9/10
