i-mate PDA2k Review
Mohammed Tahir Hussa This was my dream to hold the world in my palm and I got i-mate PDA2K. Its really good but the battery is the great problem I am facing, its just not the same written in the specification, it really does have a poor response and we need to charge it for long hours almost everyday. The service centers also gives poor response to the customer in Saudi Arabia (Axiom). Really need some solution to this problem. But on the whole this is really great and you feel like you are connected to the whole world round the clock.
Mel Batt life bad. have 2 batt now at all times. ph poor. Frequently tells me cannot answer call which means I have to call the person back $$. I press answer and the ph will not answer.... Bluetooth headset will not wk properly either. Gave up on that.
As a Pocket PC its gr8. Can have broadband at all times which is very handy.
Had a prob with receiving sms msgs. Had 380 unreqa msgs in the inbox. All THE SAME!!! this occured twice. Thedealer said I had to reset handet to get rid of the problem which it did, however I dont have time to keep resetting......
This handset cost $1500 Australian dollars.
The camera is quite ordinary, not gr8 clarity. Video too dark and too far away.
I need a seperate ph handset ideally as this one is just irritating.

Clive I need a phone with wireless, blue tooth and infra-red connectivity. Will be used for E-mail, Internet, Excel, Word, Calendar and Appointments. So far I have looked at the i-mate PDA2K and the Nokia 9500 Communicator. The i-mate appears to be the best option. What would you recommend and why?
Nana these are more of questions than a comments.. but does anyone know how I can get realplayer compatible with the PDA2k or any other software that can play Realplayer files on it? aand 2ndly how do u ever add ring tones to this thing? Don't know any more wether I'm clueless on those 2 matters because am the medical field or am I stupid?
