Motorola KRZR K1 Review
Darren B (UK) Hi, I'm in th UK and currently have A Razr V3 Black which I've had a couple of years and is suffering from wear and tear.
The reasons why I like my Razr other than looking slick, it's reletivly small, and reliable. The menu has a proper key lock (pin code to unlock the keyboard) and also allows me to just lock certain apps (in my case Messaging is always locked). I also like the being able to put my most used options on the main dial so I have one touch access to "call-list", "messaging" and my "alarm clock". And Finally, I prefer clam-shell phones, but could be puruaded to go to a slider. I'm a photographer, so the camera-phone element doesn't appeal to me. MP3 might be interesting, but then what do I do with my iPod and esure headphones
What I would like to know is if the current crop of mobiles have these features or will I have to stay with Motorola, in particular wait for the KRZR to come out?
I just went to the phone shops to look at the Nokia phones mentioned here, they were non-working models so I couldn't check the menu system. So far I do not like the size of them, they are too bulky, and not very stylish.
Sony are releasing the Z610i which also looks interesting, but I remember the T68i interface was not very flexible, is it still the same?
Thanks in advance for the feedback.
Neel will have no complains about software of MOTO if they use there new UI (JUIX) that of ROKR E2. Its the best for non smart phone. But if the don't use that then they r stupid guys. And what r MOTO's problem guys? Why it is using 176*220 screen when it used QVGA in ROKR E2? It really sucks man to have such a cool phone with so much volume & just 176*220 screen. And what r there designers doing? They r after miniaturing phones without giving a proper features.I will go for a phone with normal size to some more bulky if it has features & specification 100 out of 100 then for a slim fone with no features. This is some thing really stupid. Why MOTO is paying there desinger & people of R&D section money just for assembling old hardware in new phones. The screen of new phone has 176*220 (65K) colour. Same 1.3 or 2MP Matrix With out optical zoom. Some of them don't have a flash. Just 20 MB onboard memory. If they r not using there R&D section wel then MOTO will b a history in future. I m a fan of Moto. I used some phones of MOTO but now they have starting acting like stupid. Come on guys take some real steps to produce some good phones.
<unknown> moto phs do not impress me. V3i resolution is poorer than my samsung card ph P300. camera always lousy . I tried V3i. don't know abt this krzr. UI is not my type.
this ph design is great anyway, but its not too small. its longer and a bit thicker than V3i as to compensate width.
anyway, I may buy this ph as moto sell their ph like cheap toys in sg. :) can use 1 year and throw away.
Sharif haque Sumit If someone said V3 menu is difficult, i guess u better go back time about 5 years and use all those basic phone like Nokia 5110. That is perfect fro u. Also pls know that u shold have some brain at least to operate a smart phone. If u dont like i said go back time 5 yrs. Also some one said, V3 has poor features? what the hell.people still buy it and pls know 50 mill unit already sold.it is record indeed.
v m i like the v3 series
gh gh gh gh i wish they put halo1 or 2 for any moblie phone .

Even though I'm not a Moto lover but I would suggest you NOT to waste your time in comparing KRZR with 8800 just because they are available at the same time and on the main page of GSmarena side by side.
It doesn't worth comparing 8800, the most feature-less piece of crap with a high price tag with any phone at all. 8800 falls under the "Exclusive" crap. Its not for everyone. I'm sure those who will buy it will show it off and when getting a call, simply answer ---- "Hey, how its going..listen I'm on the other line..so let me call you back from MY OTHER PHONE". Lol.
<unknown> Already officially available in Hong Kong for USD 450.
<unknown> Hi all
Everybody talking about 2MP camera, i think is still s..t if i want to make nice photos i will use my 8MP digi camera and not 2MP or 3.2MP camera phone because is not good enough. I m useing N8800si as spare phone for makeing calls and text and for everything else as net,mp3 etc. i m useing N73. My opinion Motorola will never be that good as Nokia. no way !!! Have a nice day everybody
Brie finally, a forum where people can talk about the good phones out there!!
Im sooo sick of hearing about how good that stupid 8800SE is!! All it is good for is a paperweight lol
The KRZR K1 has it all... and it looks hot. I couldn't sk for more in a phone.
Now, all u moto haters out there, get a grip on reality and come over to our side where the GOOD mobiles are!! hehe
Brie :)
