Philips 855 Review
Edy I have Philips 855. The design is good. But I am very dissapointed with the quality of the phone. The flexible cable is easily ruined due to the 180 degree clamshell design. I have the same problems several times and what the service center do is only changing the flexible cable. But the problem will still come in few months. It's very terrible problem. I won't spend my money more for Philips mobile.
<unknown> i bought the phone since september 2004. now still working fine. three problems since day 1: (1) the incoming voice is very soft even i put it to max volume. i have to use handfree and put it on my ear when i call at noisy place. (2) no alert for first incoming SMS, so i often miss my SMS. (3) the phone go black out, sometimes, when i do multiple recipients SMS. i wonder the same problems occur in other philips phones?

My friend had it and the screen went dead (like you hear from so many others) after just three weeks. The colors faded, lines all across it, camera froze etc. etc.
I would not buy this phone, save yourself from trouble and spend a couple of bucks more on a decent phone.
It looks very cheap too. It's just plain plastic, doesn't look very exciting in real life. The camera is pretty good (when it works) and the games are cool, but other than that....don't touch it.
